The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a secure base in the remote area, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
