'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial major trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract discussions could start in the near future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring record continues to amaze
