I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
